Adult Faith Enrichment

Description

“The most valuable gift that the Church can offer to the bewildered and restless world of our time is to form within it Christians who are confirmed in what is essential and who are humbly joyful in their faith.” our Hearts Were Burning Within Us, 59.  Adult Faith Enrichment or Formation gives the opportunity to people to consciously grow in the life of Christ through experience, reflection, prayer and study.  There are six areas of ongoing formation.

  1. Knowledge of the Faith
  2. Liturgical Life
  3. Moral Formation
  4. Prayer
  5. Communal Life
  6. Missionary Spirit

Events that have been offered by St. Raymond’s Adult Faith Enrichment are Financial Peace University, The Great Adventure Bible Timeline and the Parish Mission.
Financial Peace University is a 13 week life changing program that empoweres and taught participants how to make the right money decisions to achieve their financial goals in the midst of God’s plan for their life.  The course includes practical lessons on eliminating debt, building wealth and giving like never before.

The Great Adventure Bible Timeline gives participants the opportunity to learn more about the the Bible and how to put it to more meaningful terms with every day experiences in our life today.

Finally, the Parish Mission, which is typically held once a year during Lent, allowes people to listen to speakers and share fellowship, learning and the communal aspect of the mission.  This year’s theme was No Greater Love:  Reflections on the 7 Last Words of Christ.
