Cross Country

Dear St. Raymond School Families,

We had another epic weekend of sports achievement for the Rockets!  On Saturday, our boys and girls cross country team competed in the IESA's sectional meet in Bourbonnais.  Our girls walked away (or should I say ran away) with a 1st place win!  Seventh grader Claire Blotnik won the girls' race!  These results earned the St. Raymond's girls team a trip to state.  This is the first time ever for St. Raymond to send a team!

Lukas Klein, a 5th grader, qualified for state as an individual, placing 19th in the boys' race!

We are so incredibly proud of the heart and soul all of our runners displayed yesterday.  They left it all on the trail!

The girls and Lukas will run in Normal on Saturday morning, October 13th.  The girls race is at 9:30 and the boys race is at 10:15.  All information can be found at

Sharp Sports put together a spirit shop specific to Cross Country.  If anyone is interested, you must order by noon on Monday.

I wish to extend a special thanks to Colleen Abbott, Pat Cardwell and Brian Baltz who are coaching our runners this year.  Our sports program is not possible without the time and dedication of parent volunteers.

Beaming in Rocket pride!

Ms. Hill
