Coming this Fall
We come to St. Raymond's to seek and understand Jesus Christ. Whether we've been Catholic our whole lives, or are just at the beginning of a journey of faith, this Alpha program will be an opportunity to connect with others, get some basic content about faith in Jesus Christ, and have meaningful conversations.
Be interested- this will be good.
CONNECTION
Whether it’s a group of friends gathered around a kitchen table or a quick phone call, times of connecting are important. All sessions start with a time of connection—over a meal at St. Ray's to relax and build friendships.
CONTENT
We'll here presentations designed to engage people from all walks of life, and to inspire conversation. They explore the big issues of life and faith. Some content may be refreshers on the basics of Christianity and the Catholic faith, some may be real deep learning. “Who is Jesus?”, “Why and how do I pray?”, and “How does God guide us?”
CONVERSATION
One of the most important parts of any Alpha is the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic in a small group format. Guests hear from others and have an opportunity to contribute/share.
Alpha is a larger international effort that includes Christian communities of various denominations. Of course our program at St. Ray's will be in the Catholic context. Click here to understand more about Alpha.
At this point, just let us know that you're out there and you're thinking about it. No commitment- just interest. We'll be in touch to let you know more.
Of course we have need for parishioners who want to help out with the program- from hosting and meal prep to casting the invite out to friends and neighbors.
